Ascensia International School is a Boutique IB World School centrally located in the heart of Singapore offering globally recognised curriculums (IB PYP, IGCSE, IB DP & A-level) and student-centered holistic education.

Curriculum

Ascensia International School offers a comprehensive through-train programme from Primary to High School with smooth progression from the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP), to the Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and offering high school students a choice of Dual Learning Pathway – Cambridge International AS & A Level or the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).

I love Ascensia. My year here in this school has been great. I learned a lot more than I learned in the other schools. My Mathematics as well as my English have improved tremendously, and I eventually scored A in my IGCSE English. I am very thankful to all my teachers and all my peers in IGY2!

Looking back on the years spent in Ascensia International school, I felt very grateful. AAIS is as warm as a big family full of love and inclusiveness. Teachers are always patient and considerate. I like the school because you can be yourself and be accepted in the AAIS community. At Ascensia, I also find my preferred subjects, gain more in-depth learning in my interested areas.

The teachers here are more like facilitators, helping us to explore the world and ourselves. The use of interactive e-learning portal makes the learning journey organized and interesting. I can definitely say that Ascensia International School changed me for the better, for which I am glad.

I really liked the school, my peers and my teachers who were patient and provided a lot of support along the way. With a good foundation of knowledge, I was able further my studies and I am currently enrolled in University College London, as a first-year student majoring in Management Science.”

Why did you choose AAIS?

The curriculum of AAIS was the main driver, the fact that AAIS specialises in providing formal education to international students, with programmes ranging from International Baccalaureate Primary Year Programmes (IB PYP), Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), Cambridge International AS & A Level to International Baccalaureate Diploma Programmes (IB DP). The staff during the orientation felt professional, considerate, and understanding giving options to our daughter for her future.

What do you love about our school?

I love the interactions with the teachers and the staff. The level of care that they demonstrate for the development of my daughter. The frequency in the communication related to her progress is also something that I love about the school. I really feel that her teachers want her to succeed and they will always do the extra mile to encourage and ensure my daughter is working towards the right direction.

How has your child grown/developed/supported since being at our school?

The school gave several occasions to my daughter to present her coursework to her peers. Those kind of activities have boosted her confidence, and equipped her with problem solving skills-set. Her writing in English have also improved as she adopted story telling techniques to structure her arguments and though process better.

What is one thing would you say to other parents about our school?

AAIS is as warm as a big family, full of love and inclusiveness!
